Nathan L. Jacobson founded the firm in 1972 with a single goal in mind: to provide a range of top-notch civil engineering services. Prior to forming the firm, Nate was an associate in a large consulting firm where he experienced first-hand the frustrations of spending more of his time on administrative and management aspects of the consulting business rather than utilizing his considerable experience on the technical aspects of client projects.
Nathan L. Jacobson & Associates corporate philosophy is a direct result of Nate’s frustration. To this day we adhere to his original philosophy to maintain a highly competent firm of twenty to twenty-five persons capable of:
In addition to providing a principal of the firm with direct project responsibility to each of our clients, to further enhance our problem solving abilities and project delivery, we prioritize internal coordination and project scheduling so that technical staff can be deployed to best meet project schedules and client needs. With this team approach the specialized expertise of all of our engineers can be shared and most efficiently utilized to meet client expectations.
Nathan L. Jacobson & Associates, Inc. has extensive experience in assisting our municipal clients in successfully securing project grants. Throughout our history we have been involved in more than two dozen different grant programs. Currently we are actively working on projects funded through the following:
