Our firm is seeking highly motivated technical personnel with excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, to join our team of design professionals for a full-time Project Engineer position. We are a licensed professional Civil and Environmental Engineering firm in the State of Connecticut whose primary business focus is directed towards providing quality technical services to municipal and institutional clients, as well as Federal and State Agencies.
Responsibilities
- Civil/Environmental design of sanitary sewers and wastewater pump stations, small and large scale subsurface sewage disposal systems, water supply systems
- Familiarity with CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and CT Department of Public Health sanitary system design and permitting criteria
- Detailed preparation of construction drawings and specifications
- Report writing
- Cost estimating
- Permitting
- Presentations to land use commissions and clients
- 95% office / 5% field
Qualifications
- Minimum BS degree in Civil Engineering
- 3 years minimum experience in general municipal engineering and infrastructure improvement projects
- EIT required, P.E. preferred
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Skilled in oral and written communications, organization, and interpersonal relations
- Ability to work under the supervision of others, or independently
- Able to perform thorough, neat and accurate basic engineering computations
- Ambitious nature with desire to learn, adapt and grow
- Committed to working efficiently
