Killingworth - River Road Bridgeover the Chatfield Hollow Brook is reopened to traffic
As of today, the River Road Bridge over the Chatfield Hollow Brook is reopened to traffic. We spent the summer replacing the bearings, repainting, repairing deteriorated concrete, placing membrane, and repaving. The project went beautifully. We finished within budget and within two months. What's really cool, though, is that everyone here is a Killingworth resident. With me, from left to right: Howard Pfrommer, our Town Engineer, kept eagle eyes on the project every step of the way. Walter Adametz, our Road Crew Foreman, added his thorough knowledge of our town road system. Greg Paquin, who supervised the project for the winning bidder, Standard Demolition Services, kept up quality while keeping things moving. Thanks to this great team for making our town look so good. Thanks to the neighbors for their patience.
And thanks to Killingworth resident Amy Etra for taking the photo. - Cathy Iino
